George and Ira Gershwin were musical brothers who wrote the song 'I Got Rhythm' together! They will always be remembered as the songwriting team whose music inspired and influenced the sounds and style of the Jazz Age. They both wrote many songs together but also wrote songs on their own.
A famous song, 'Rhapsody in Blue' was composed by George Gershwin. He wrote this song to represent the music and sounds you might hear when you are in New York City. Watch the clip and think about how the music matches the characters and scenes in the video.
